CueSoul.ai is built on a simple belief: AI-generated music is legitimate art when a human being is the creative director. We are fully transparent about how the music in our catalog is made, who owns it, and why it is legally cleared for sync licensing.

How the Music Is Created

Music in the CueSoul catalog is created using AI music generation platforms, primarily Suno AI. Artists on the platform use these tools as their instrument — writing prompts, directing style, selecting takes, curating emotional tone, and deciding what is worthy of release.

The human artist is the creative director of every track. The AI is the instrument. This is no different, conceptually, from a producer using software synthesizers, drum machines, or samplers — the tool does not create; the artist does.

Ownership & Rights

Every CueSoul artist retains full ownership of their catalog, including:

Master recording rights — the artist owns the final audio output
Composition rights — the artist owns the creative direction, lyrics, and song structure
Sync licensing rights — the artist has the right to license their music for audiovisual use

CueSoul acts as a non-exclusive licensing agent on behalf of artists. Artists never sign away their rights to join the platform.

No Samples. No Infringement.

All tracks in the CueSoul catalog are:

Generated fresh — not derived from or sampled from existing recordings
Free of third-party samples, interpolations, or unlicensed elements
Fully cleared for sync use with no additional clearances required

This is a significant advantage over traditional music licensing, where even independent tracks often carry hidden sample obligations or publishing splits that delay or prevent clearance.

Why This Is Good for Supervisors

Traditional sync clearance can take weeks and involve multiple rights holders — master owner, publisher, co-writers, sample clearances. A CueSoul license clears master and composition simultaneously, in minutes, from one party. Zero chain-of-title risk.

PRO Registration

CueSoul artists are required to register their works with a Performing Rights Organization (ASCAP, BMI, or SESAC) prior to listing on the platform. This ensures that performance royalties are properly tracked and paid when licensed music airs on broadcast television, radio, or streaming platforms with reporting obligations.

The sync license fee paid to CueSoul covers synchronization rights only. Performance royalties flow separately through the artist's PRO registration.

Regulatory Compliance

The legal landscape around AI-generated music continues to evolve. CueSoul monitors relevant legislation and regulatory guidance, including:

U.S. Copyright Office guidance on AI-generated works
The AI Music Transparency Act (currently in committee)
State-level right-of-publicity laws affecting AI voice and style
International copyright standards for AI-assisted creation

CueSoul does not use voice-cloning, artist likeness replication, or style-cloning of specific named artists. All music is original in style and character.

Certificate of AI Origin

Available Upon Request

Any licensee requiring documentation of AI origin for broadcast compliance, production disclosure, or legal purposes may request a Certificate of AI Origin for any licensed track. This document confirms the AI tool used, the artist's ownership declaration, and the absence of third-party sample obligations.
